primary interest in sculpting is to work with the medium to
make art that excels in aesthetics and technical skill. I
believe that honesty in pursuit of creating results in the
portrayal of meaning. The artist is a storyteller who peers
into the vulnerability of self and others to discover and
expose shared truths and realities.
I take quite seriously the extraordinary
value of art to reveal human truths. In acknowledging the
discovery value of my art I refer to the process and results
as Heuristic Art Research. Approaching my art from this
methodology has resulted in significant artistic, social
and academic contributions.
