Bronze
is a classic art material that has persevered as
a primary sculpting medium through the ages. My sculptures
are most often purchased in bronze. Casting models may be
created in wax, clay, resin, plaster, stone or a combination
of these materials.
When
the first piece in a limited edition is sculpted in stone,
the stone is reserved as the artist proof in the editions
series. Subsequent numbered limited edition pieces are cast
in bronze.
I have always been draw
to create large works. Many of my smaller works are designed
to work well as monumental art. Generally several of the
pieces in any edition are reserved for enlargement to larger
works. This increases the value and importance of each piece
in the edition regardless of the size of the piece.
