Place the pain in a container.
See the container slowly getting
smaller and smaller.
As the container gets smaller see it moving further and further away.

Create safety and distance by visualizaing your abuser locked in a room or a cell.
See how weak and what a wimp they were to use a child.


See your pain as a ball
getting smaller and smaller.
See your pain as light
getting dimmer and dimmer.

Drop your abuse or your abuser in the ocean.

Shoot your abuse or your abuser into space.

Write down something about the pain
and throw it in a garbage can

 

Remind yourself of the year today.
Recognize how long ago the abuse actually happened.
Allow yourself to count the years and feel the passage of time.
