Book I: Through Darkness and Thorns
Chapter V: For You

She’s a “Little One”, Just a Child

Locked up tight within her own tears
Tears frozen in space and time so she won’t be
punished for crying
So lonely and so needy, she shakes and rocks
to soothe herself
She is lost,
desperately lost,
In a world where she
readily accepts what frightens and hurt her
and is
so terrified of getting what she wants most.

BRIANNA, YOUR LIFE WAS FLEETING BUT MY LOVE FOR YOU WAS NOT. ALTHOUGH I NEVER HAD THE CHANCE TO KNOW YOU, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU.
