Book I: Through Darkness and Thorns
Chapter I: Wrapped Around Rage

Frozen Muscles

This process
Overflows into my body

It is a container
Full of hard to hold tension
Tight frozen muscles.

Inside a second skin
A body within a body
Frozen terror
Racing heart
Panic in my body

My mind tries to contain
My spirit soothes

It is hard, lonely, sand, work
And
Alienating

I cannot be solaced easily.
