I welcome commissions
for furniture and design accents for home or office. These
works are approached as art or to be part of a private or
corporate collection and as such are priced accordingly.

A series of several hundred boxes
and wood vases over a five-year period allowed for a challenging
study of design, movement, hinging, sliding, space, texture
and form. An exhibit of these works in the early eighties
comprised the first One of a Kind Canadian Craft Show
booth that was solely dedicated to sculpted and band saw
boxes.

the soft worm-burrowed outer layers of the hard rosewood
tree.

The two layered hearts on a purple

Butternut Box
A jewellery case containing four
compartments and one drawer. The lines, textures and layout
of this form were expressions of the organic imperfections
in this large butternut timber off cut.

Laminated and solid
wood boxes incorporate similar joinery.

Mahogany Box

A series of reclined torso jewellery
boxes took advantage of the characteristics of the grain
of the outside curve of the board to enhance the silhouettes
of the buttocks and shoulder blades. These torsos moved
the functional object design near to the realm of purely
sculptural form.
